You’re traveling for a week

Try picturing this. You’re traveling for a week to have fun in Bangkok. Since you’re under budget you need to take a bus from Johor Bahru to Penang and later take a train from Penang to Bangkok. This train will take 20 hours of your time, so you’re planning to have some entertainment while on board. So you pack your backpack for the essentials gadget for entertainment. Your backpack is probably going to be full of these items; PDA, mobile phone (probably two sets like me!), MP3 player, a portable DVD player, a lot of pirated VCDs, etc.

Such a load of items and that excludes your luggage. What you probably need to lessen the gadgets you need to efficiently pack your backpack is a portable multimedia gadget (PMG).

A PMG such as this PMG Quadpad by Tronic is a new mobile device that is a hybrid version of other portable mobile devices integrated with multimedia functions fully equipped for users from all walks of life. Features include pen-writing recognition, virtual keyboard, video/audio features, USB ports, PCMCIA slots for GPRS/GPS/3G connectivity, built-in wifi and Bluetooth.

The enhanced capabilities of the PMG Quadpad made it useful for a full function PC, e-book, MP3 player, wireless device, e-dictionary, PDA and more. Its most unique feature is its small touch screen size, which is only 8.4 inches. The 360° rotating touch screen lets you work any way you want, whether left or right-handed, or to create and view either portrait or landscape presentations. This combined with its light weight adds to travel convenience. It also features a smart case that protects the screen and gives the appearance of a filofax organiser.
